Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3–5 years of experience as a business analyst or similar role in software/system environments
  • Experience eliciting and documenting requirements for web applications or enterprise systems
  • Proficiency with Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jira)
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process mapping skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience collaborating in cross-functional Agile teams
  • Eligibility for federal background investigation and compliance with security requirements (U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent residency with 3+ years residency)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting enterprise-scale applications in regulated or federal environments
  • Familiarity with Section 508 accessibility, security, and privacy requirements
  • Experience with user acceptance testing (UAT) and quality assurance
  • Certifications in business analysis (e.g., CBAP, PMI-PBA, Agile BA)
  • Experience mentoring or guiding junior analysts

Responsibilities

  • Elicit, analyze, and document business, functional, and technical requirements for enterprise systems and software
  • Collaborate with product owners, stakeholders, developers, and UX/UI teams to translate requirements into user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flows
  • Lead or support backlog refinement, sprint planning, and Agile ceremonies
  • Conduct gap analysis, process mapping, and workflow optimization to improve business processes and system functionality
  • Facilitate requirements workshops, interviews, and user feedback sessions
  • Develop and maintain business analysis artifacts (e.g., user stories, process diagrams, requirements traceability matrices)
  • Assist with user acceptance testing (UAT), defect triage, and validation of delivered solutions
  • Ensure solutions comply with federal standards (e.g., Section 508 accessibility, security, and privacy requirements)
  • Support change management, training, and documentation efforts
  • Communicate findings, recommendations, and status to technical and non-technical audiences
