About The Position

The City of Escondido is hiring a Business Analyst I/II in its Information Systems Department, Enterprise Software & Web Administration division. Under direction at the Business Analyst I level or general direction at the Business Analyst II level, the role supports the setup, administration, end-user functional and technical support, training, vendor coordination, and reporting for enterprise software applications. The analyst works closely with GIS Analysts to troubleshoot issues, develop reports, and maintain and upgrade GIS-connected applications with map services. Business Analyst I is the entry-level class, with duties performed under the Enterprise Software Manager's direction and less independent discretion than the II level. After two years of progressively responsible service with the City and meeting progression requirements, an incumbent may advance to Business Analyst II. Business Analyst II is the experienced level, performing the full range of business and analytical support functions independently, with occasional assistance for new or unusual situations. The position requires on-site work; remote work is not available. The recruitment is open until filled and may close without notice after the first application review.
