About The Position

Genesis10 is seeking a Senior Business Analyst for an onsite, contract-to-hire position with a major financial institution in McLean, Virginia. The opportunity is described as lasting two months. The selected candidate will work in the mortgage industry as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, participating throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC), from requirements gathering and feasibility analysis through testing and deployment. A strong background in operational risk, third-party risk management, and information security is essential.

Requirements

Experience working as a Business Analyst in the mortgage industry.
Strong understanding of the end-to-end software development life cycle (SDLC).
Experience in operational risk, third-party risk management, information security, and financial statement analysis.
Hands-on knowledge of SOC reviews, including SOC 1 Type 2, and related controls.
Knowledge of manual and automation testing.
Excellent communication and analytical skills.
Ability to work onsite in McLean, Virginia.
Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

An IT audit background is preferred.

Responsibilities

Serve as the liaison between business and technical teams.
Gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
Design process and data flows.
Define project objectives and conduct feasibility analysis.
Support development, systems integration testing (SIT), and user acceptance testing (UAT).
Create and document UAT test strategies, plans, and test cases or scripts.
