Business Analysts are key members of the consulting team, supporting client engagements through data analysis, research and development of actionable recommendations. You will work closely with project teams to solve complex go-to-market challenges and contribute directly to client deliverables. The Business Analyst career track includes promotion to Associate Consultant to Management Consultant and beyond for individuals looking to develop a rewarding, long-term career in consulting with Alexander Group.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, engineering, mathematics or related field
• Strong academic and professional track record
• 0–3 years of relevant experience
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to translate data into insights
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Intermediate to advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Eligible to work in the U.S. with no restrictions

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with data analysis tools or programming languages (e.g., Python, SQL) is a plus
• Interest in applying data and technology to business and go-to-market challenges
• Exposure to AI or analytics tools is helpful; ability to validate outputs and apply sound judgment is essential
• Willingness to travel (sometimes on short notice)

Responsibilities

• Analyze and prepare client data to support project objectives
• Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis to identify insights and performance gaps
• Build models to evaluate business scenarios and inform recommendations
• Support client interviews, research and data collection efforts
• Develop clear, client-ready slides and materials
• Contribute to problem-solving, hypothesis development and solution design
• Support day-to-day project execution, including tracking deliverables and timelines
• Communicate findings to team members and client stakeholders
