The Business Analyst is responsible for financial reporting, analysis and accounting activities that will help support business partners across the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree (B.A./B.S.) from four-year college or university in Finance or Accounting plus 2-3 years related financial analysis experience.
  • Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and federal and state financial regulations.
  • Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; gathers and analyzes information skillfully. Strong research and analysis skills.
  • Work requires professional written and verbal communications and interpersonal skills. Ability to succeed in a team environment.
  • Must be able to understand and carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Must be able to identify dimensional problems and/or set-up problems and seek assistance when needed. Ability to adapt quickly and learn new tasks independently.
  • Strong analytical and technical skills to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections.
  • Strong knowledge of PC tools, with high proficiency in Excel

Responsibilities

  • Support business partners
  • Prepare reporting and analytics for growth initiatives and business strategy.
  • Maintain pricing and provide pricing analytics.
  • Create reporting and analytics for German and domestic vendors.
  • Support E&O initiatives across the surgical business
  • Responsible for performing special projects that improve profitability, process and performance of the overall business.
  • Vendors expedite reports and customers open order reports.
  • Support month-end close process
  • Initiate journal entries related to the assigned functional responsibilities.
  • Research and prepare variance analysis and explanations.
  • Create ad hoc month end reports/analytics as requested.
  • Assist management with financial analysis, forecasting and planning processes.
  • Learn and utilize all ERPs across the business for data and reporting.
