The location in Montreal, (Quebec, Canada), is seeking talent to fill the position of Business Analyst, IT Operations Liaison. This job is full-time permanent. Business Analyst, IT Operations Liaison Lumber Industry Position Overview Reporting at the intersection of operations and technology, the Business Analyst, IT Operations Liaison plays a critical role in aligning manufacturing, administrative, and IT functions. This position ensures that business needs are effectively translated into scalable technology solutions, while driving process optimization, data integrity, and operational excellence across the organization.

Requirements

  • Strong business acumen with the ability to bridge operations and technology.
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing environments (lumber industry considered an asset).
  • Proven analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels and drive cross-functional collaboration.
  • Results-oriented, structured, and adaptable in a dynamic environment.
  • English bilingual: If listed, this qualification is required since this function requires regular verbal and/or written interaction with customers, partners and/or our American subsidiaries.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary interface between operations, administrative functions, and IT, ensuring clear alignment of priorities and initiatives.
  • Translate business requirements into functional specifications and support full delivery lifecycle (analysis, development, testing, deployment, and adoption).
  • Develop a strong understanding of end‑to‑end manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for efficiency, standardization, and continuous improvement.
  • Provide functional leadership on core systems (ERP, BI), ensuring reliability, usability, and data consistency across operational and financial flows.
  • Support finance and administrative teams in resolving discrepancies and strengthening internal controls.
  • Ensure compliance and accuracy in AD/CVD processes for U.S. exports, in collaboration with compliance functions.
  • Leverage data analytics to support decision-making, monitor performance, and drive business insights.
  • Contribute to strategic IT initiatives, including system enhancements, integrations, and digital transformation efforts.
  • Oversee EDI processes, ensuring stability, accuracy, and effective onboarding of trading partners.
