About The Position

The IT Business Analyst works with a cross-functional team in optimization of application capabilities & business processes. This role provides business analysis and project/product support for the development, enhancement, quality assessment, and on-going support of the relevant lines of business (LOBs).

Requirements

  • 4+ years of relevant experience (required)
  • Experience with CRM applications, e.g. Siebel CRM, Salesforce
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Must be able to familiarize with and be hands on with the software application platform(s) supported by the squad
  • Must be able to familiarize and understand technical implementation of the software application platform(s) and bridge the gap between business and technology
  • Ability to work in a group/team setting.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction.
  • Takes accountability/responsibility for tasks and actions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong collaboration skills and team player with positive attitude
  • Familiar with Agile, Scaled Agile Framework and Waterfall concepts
  • Experience working in agile squads
  • MS Suite proficiency Word, Excel, PPT
  • Experience using JIRA and Confluence
  • Business Analysis deliverable in the form of use cases, process flows, data mapping documentation
  • Ability to break down complex concepts into simple and digestible requirements
  • Execute Design thinking, Systems thinking when developing requirements artifacts
  • Must be driven to deliver quality and have attention to detail
  • Working knowledge of the values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in all business decisions and ability to leverage that information in creating customized customer solutions.

  • Working knowledge of effective influencing tactics and strategies; ability to impact decisions within and outside own organization.
  • Working knowledge of the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision.
  • Working knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.
  • Working knowledge of tools, methods, and techniques of requirement analysis; ability to elicit, analyze and record required business functionality and non-functionality requirements to ensure the success of a system or software development project.
  • Working knowledge of the activities, tasks, deliverables and techniques for documenting current business processes; ability to identify problems, opportunities, and re-engineering processes for improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Influence requirements for new application features and enhancements that are consistent with strategic priorities.
  • Participates in the design process to ensure it supports business requirements and an optimized user experience.
  • Capture requirements for a moderately complex system and/or multiple systems; understands the SDLC and its impact on deliverables.
  • Translate business requirements into technical requirements and convey with appropriate level of detail to the development team.
  • Broaden expertise of the business and work with technical and business teams to support business objectives.
  • Support and/or participate in user acceptance testing to ensure quality in application releases and user experience.
  • Understands security, risk management, and IT process principles and escalate to appropriate team(s) as needed.
