Reporting to the Program Manager during this 8-week program, the Data Analyst Intern will define, plan, manage, perform/execute, and deliver various data analytics support services and products. This position is expected to be located in San Diego, CA or Charleston, SC .

Requirements

  • Must be a United States citizen, legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
  • HS Diploma required.
  • Rising Junior or Rising Senior currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree for Internship eligibility
  • Demonstrated understanding or completed coursework pertaining to data analytics techniques and processes including data mining, data preparation/cleansing, data modeling, descriptive analytics/exploratory data analysis, data visualizations, forecasting
  • Proficient with analytics tools and applications such as Microsoft Excel, Power BI, R Studio and/or Tableau
  • Must possess basic computer literacy and data entry skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (to include MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
  • Must possess strong time management skills.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced, changing, and challenging environment.

  • Experience with relational databases

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with multiple stakeholders to iteratively define, plan, manage, perform/execute and deliver various data analytics support services and products.
  • Meet daily with manager to discuss accomplishments, progress, risks/issues/help needed.
  • Develop and deliver progress briefs and demonstrate the features and functions of the data analytics products developed.
  • Develop technical documentation and user guides to support implementation and maintenance of the analytic products.
  • Facilitate project turnover and closeout at the end of the internship program.
  • Bid and proposal support if requested.
  • Other duties as assigned.
