About The Position

Sovos is looking for a Business Analyst III with a strong background in global tax determination to join our Product Management team. In this role, you'll serve as a subject matter expert, working closely with Regulatory Analysts and key stakeholders to translate complex business and regulatory requirements into functional product solutions — leveraging AI tools to drive smarter analysis and faster outcomes. Requirements

3+ years of experience in global tax determination, including working with corporations on implementation of global tax determination software or processes
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze large datasets and identify trends
Knowledge of SQL and database design principles
Experience with software development methodologies and project management tools
Understanding of global tax determination laws and regulations
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Comfort leveraging AI tools to improve research, analysis, and documentation workflows
Due to client contractual obligations, the successful candidate will be asked to clear a background check and drug test upon hire

Responsibilities

Serve as subject matter expert for global tax determination, staying current on evolving global tax requirements and trends
Partner with prospects, clients, and stakeholders to understand their unique needs and translate those into clear functional requirements for the development team
Participate in the design and implementation of software solutions and assist with quality assurance testing
Use AI-assisted tools to analyze large datasets, identify trends, and accelerate the requirements process
