About The Position

This role involves leading the development of complex forecasting models and strategic analytics initiatives. The position requires managing comprehensive metrics reporting, performing advanced data mining, and big data analysis to drive business-critical decisions. The Business Analyst III will partner with multiple functional groups to define and forecast key business drivers, ensure operational effectiveness, and incorporate continuous learning into strategic planning. The role includes designing and implementing sophisticated mathematical and statistical models that incorporate diverse variables such as customer behavior, product performance, operational metrics, market dynamics, and business KPIs. A key responsibility is driving continuous improvement by simplifying and automating planning processes, and collaborating with analytics partners to establish scalable, efficient processes for large-scale data analyses, model development, validation, and implementation. The position requires utilizing advanced database technologies, including SQL, ETL, and Oracle, to develop and evaluate innovative business intelligence tools and automated reports. Sophisticated statistical analysis, including clustering, cross-session and panel data regression using R, SAS, STATA, and SPSS, will be performed. The Business Analyst III will partner with various business groups to understand their requirements and operational processes, transform complex business problems into mathematical models, and provide data-driven solutions. The role involves interacting directly with senior management to present findings and deliver models that are statistically grounded and operationally explainable to non-technical stakeholders, thereby enabling strategic decision-making across the organization.

Requirements

  • Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related field and one year of experience in the job offered or as a Business Analyst, Business Intelligence Engineer, Data Engineer, Data Miner or a related occupation.
  • Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related field and five years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
  • One year of experience using database technologies, including SQL, ETL or Oracle.
  • One year of experience processing large, multi-dimensional datasets from multiple sources including Kibana, OBIEE, Datanet or equivalent data extraction tool.
  • One year of experience developing custom predictive models and statistical forecasts using R or Python.
  • One year of experience translating complex data analysis into actionable business insights and strategic recommendations.
  • One year of experience developing automated reporting using advanced MS Excel skills including but not limited to macros and erlang knowledge.
  • One year of experience maintaining data integrity to assure input/output accuracy in various databases including Redshift, Andes, or Huron.
  • Domestic travel up to 25% may be required.
