About The Position

This role supports senior management by managing metrics reporting, performing data mining, and conducting big data analysis to provide strategic advice on business forecast models. The position involves collecting business use cases, researching and evaluating opportunities to help Amazon leverage its data for business functions through complex mathematical modeling. Responsibilities include analyzing forecast and metrics data, automating reports for promotional and project launch campaigns, and utilizing database technologies like SQL, ETL, and Oracle to design, develop, and evaluate innovative business intelligence tools and automated reports for campaign targeting and optimization. The role requires transforming complex business problems into mathematical models and providing data-driven solutions, performing statistical analysis such as clustering and regression using R, SAS, STATA, and SPSS, and establishing scalable, efficient, automated processes for large-scale data analyses, model development, validation, and implementation.

Requirements

  • Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related field and one year of experience in the job offered or as a Business Analyst, Business Intelligence Engineer, Data Engineer, Data Miner or a related occupation.
  • Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related field and five years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
  • One year of experience using database technologies, including SQL, ETL or Oracle.
  • One year of experience processing large, multi-dimensional datasets from multiple sources including Kibana, OBIEE, Datanet or equivalent data extraction tool.
  • One year of experience performing statistical analysis and workforce optimization using workforce management systems including EWFM, IEX, or Aspect – Forecasting.
  • One year of experience developing automated reporting using advanced MS Excel skills including but not limited to macros and erlang knowledge.
  • One year of experience maintaining data integrity to assure input/output accuracy in various databases including eWFM or GACD Systems.
