About The Position

The Business Analyst provides day-to-day operational and project support for the Advancement & Alumni Engagement department's information systems with a primary focus on the Blackbaud Enterprise CRM platform. The role supports analyzing business needs, configuring systems, documenting business processes, and developing specifications for system enhancements and reports. The Business Analyst I conducts requirements gathering, application testing, user acceptance testing and identifies and resolves system issues, monitors data integrity, and participates in the preparation of training materials and delivery of end-user training. The role develops and maintains business knowledge of AAE operations and fundraising workflows to ensure positive downstream impacts on the department.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computing Science or Business Administration, with four years of related business analysis experience enterprise information systems in a large, complex, environment, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Excellent knowledge of fundraising constituent record management (CRM) systems
  • Excellent knowledge of enterprise information systems and CRM platforms (e.g., Blackbaud Enterprise CRM)
  • Excellent knowledge of business process design and analysis
  • Excellent knowledge of software design, database applications for standard business processes, and data analysis
  • Excellent knowledge of SQL query language and report writing tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI)
  • Working knowledge of fundraising operations and donor and alumni engagement workflows to inform system support and configuration decisions
