They trade across Oil & Gas, Power, Emissions, Agriculture, Commodities Index, Base Metals, and Precious Metals—spanning financial and physical deliveries with linear and non-linear instruments. Operating from Toronto, Calgary, New York, and the UK, the team is seeking a Business Analyst to join their Commodities team and help enhance the systems and processes that support this dynamic business. The Commodities team manages front-to-back trading applications and infrastructure for the commodities business. In this role, the Business Analyst will partner with IT (QTS) and business stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze business processes, and translate them into system improvements and technology solutions that drive operational efficiency and support business growth. The role involves working with business stakeholders and technical teams to understand trading workflows, identify system gaps, and document requirements for enhancements. The analyst will also analyze current Commodities configurations and trading processes to recommend optimizations and support the design of solutions that improve trader productivity and risk management. Additionally, the Business Analyst will conduct impact assessments for system changes, validate that implementations meet business needs, support testing and user acceptance activities, document processes, create training materials for end-users and support teams, and maintain clear communication with management on project status and risks.
