About The Position

As a key member of the team, you will provide analytical, operational and business process support to the divisions within the Community Services department.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary degree in Business, Commerce, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Statistics or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in financial data analysis and metrics.
  • Previous experience in conducting research, data collection/analysis and report writing.
  • Previous experience in business process and improvement projects.
  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to synthesize complex and voluminous information.
  • Demonstrated presentation skills.
  • Proficient project management skills (leading multi-divisional project teams) with the proven ability to successfully balance concurrent priorities and drive project outcomes.
  • Experience utilizing business intelligence software (e.g. PowerBI, Tableau, Excel) for data analysis, reporting and communication purposes.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills are required, as are excellent organizational abilities.
  • Ability to function in a team environment is a must.
  • Excellent computer skills, with above average abilities in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Proven ability to work with a broad range of stakeholders and ability to multitask are a must.

Nice To Haves

  • An asset management, financial analyst, accounting professional certification (e.g. CAMP, CFA, CPA, CGA, etc.) would be considered an asset.
  • Experience working in the public sector and direct municipal experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee key performance indicators and metrics, tracking and reporting requirements to drive efficiencies and continuous improvement. Extensive use of enterprise resource planning systems (e.g. INFOR, SAP) for financial reporting/tracking purposes required.
  • Conduct operational and service assessments/reviews.
  • Review and create business processes and methodologies.
  • Research and implement client tools and create supporting documentation.
  • Develop research, trends and analysis reports and prepare presentations.
  • Project lead for budget processes (divisional Facility Rehab and Renovation and Program Equipment capital budget, WIP reporting), asset management plan and contract management.
  • May manage special projects to support client projects and action plans.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or required.
