About The Position

This role is for individuals passionate about impact and motivated to help entrepreneurs grow their businesses. The Business Advisor will be an integral part of the delivery team for the Growth Driver Program (GDP), BDC's flagship advisory solution. Working closely with an Executive Advisor, the Business Advisor will carry out strategic mandates with some of the most promising companies in Canada. The High Impact Firms (HIF) team supports a select group of ambitious companies with the potential to become sustainable leaders in their sector. BDC's Signature programs offer transformational support over several years, actively supporting clients in the implementation of their strategies.

Requirements

Undergraduate degree in business, economics, engineering, or other analytical field.
7 to 10 years of experience in industry, consulting or investment banking (or a combination).
Strong interest in continued learning.
Strong financial analysis and modeling skills.
Excellent time management and ability to manage multiple mandates simultaneously.
Developed interpersonal skills and sense of collaboration.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
Availability to travel up to 25% of the time (locally, provincially or interprovincially).

Nice To Haves

Master's degree
Experience in project management
CPA designation

Responsibilities

Conduct in-depth research and analysis.
Co-create the customer journey and deliverables.
Interact directly with management teams to assess their situation and identify opportunities for growth.
Manage the sequence of work related to projects.
