About The Position

Bridgestone Americas is hiring a Bus Tire Service Technician to perform tire maintenance and service on transit bus vehicles. The role supports the safe and efficient operation of the city’s transit fleet by servicing large tires. Work follows a structured shift schedule assigned by the location based on shift availability. The stated pay range is $14.52–$28.93.

The position is physically active and takes place in a shop environment. Technicians can earn paid Tire Industry Association (TIA) credentials: Level 2 certification within two weeks of hire and Level 3 within two years. The position includes on-the-job training and opportunities to progress to higher technician levels.

Requirements

• Comfort working with tools and machines in a shop environment.
• Ability to perform frequent bending, lifting, and moving of tires over 50 pounds, and pushing with over 100 pounds of force.
• Ability to work in a physically active environment involving repetitive and sustained exertion, forceful exertion, awkward postures, mechanical stress concentrations, and vibrations.
• Ability to work with exposure to summer heat, winter cold, and common cleaning or lubrication chemicals.

Responsibilities

• Mount, balance, rotate, and repair large transit bus tires.
• Maintain tire equipment and tools.
• Load and unload tires and related materials.
• Keep the work area clean and free of hazards.
• Participate in team meetings and stay up to date on procedures.
• Complete documentation and service logs accurately and on time.
• Use personal protective equipment and follow safety protocols.
• Perform other tasks as needed.
