About The Position

The Bus Tire Service Technician supports public safety and transit operations by maintaining and servicing tires on transit buses. The role involves hands-on tire maintenance and service, as well as moving, driving, or otherwise operating transit vehicles. A valid driver's license and CDL are required; the company provides CDL training. The location assigns a structured shift schedule based on shift availability.

The position offers paid TIA certification training, including Level 2 certification within the first two weeks of employment and Level 3 certification within two years of hire. Technicians work in a fast-paced, physically active shop environment and follow safety protocols while servicing tires and equipment.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license.
• CDL; training for the CDL will be provided by the company.
• Relevant experience and education are required.
• Ability to perform frequent bending, lifting, and moving of tires over 50 pounds, and pushing with over 100 pounds of force.
• Comfort working with tools and machines in a shop environment.
• Ability to perform repetitive and sustained exertions, forceful exertions, and work in awkward postures.

Responsibilities

• Mount, balance, rotate, and repair large transit bus tires.
• Maintain tire equipment and tools.
• Load and unload tires and related materials.
• Keep the work area clean and free of hazards.
• Participate in team meetings and stay current on procedures.
• Complete documentation and service logs accurately and on time.
• Use personal protective equipment and follow safety protocols.
• Move, drive, or otherwise operate transit vehicles.
• Perform other tasks as needed.
