About The Position

The Bus Person prepares the dining room for use and ensures it is clean during shift. This role involves preparing the dining room, cleaning away used tableware, setting tables, refilling condiments, stocking dishes and glasses, and maintaining floor cleanliness. Additional duties include serving water, coffee, bread, and food, replenishing food items, promoting positive public relations, staying informed about property events, attending mandatory meetings and training, maintaining confidentiality, displaying sensitivity to Native American Culture, and operating within company policies and regulations. The role also has specific responsibilities related to S.I.G.E. Tribal - State Compact & Accounting & Internal Control, ensuring compliance with Casino Operations, the Tribal Gaming Commission, and related regulations.

Requirements

  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
  • Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Requires basic mechanical skills, organizational skills and scheduling flexibility.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Class II Gaming License issued from the Squaxin Island Gaming Commission
  • Class 12 Mixologist Permit or Class 13 Alcohol Server Permit
  • Current Washington State Food Worker Card
  • Regularly required to sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
  • Frequently required to walk and reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
  • Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl.
  • Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and color vision.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare the dining room for use, clean away used tableware and set tables for further use.
  • Refill salt and pepper shakers, fold napkins and all other related supplies.
  • Stock dishes and glasses, as required.
  • Ensure floors and carpets in restaurants are kept clean, as needed during shifts.
  • Serve water, coffee, bread and food, as required.
  • Replenish all food items, as needed.
  • Promote positive public relations.
  • Responsible for knowing all events in the property.
  • Attend all mandatory meetings and training.
  • Maintain confidentiality.
  • Display sensitivity to Native American Culture.
  • Operate within the parameters of the Little Creek Human Resource Policies, Departmental Policies and all other applicable regulations.
  • Responsible for Internal Control and Compact compliance regarding Casino Operations and ensure compliance with regulations of the Tribal Gaming Commission.
