About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated and responsible individual to assist in ensuring the safety and well-being of students during their bus rides. This part-time position is based at our Bus Garage and involves monitoring student behavior, providing assistance to the bus driver, and ensuring a positive and safe environment for all passengers.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience working with children or in a supervisory role is a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures related to school transportation.
• Must pass a background check and any required training certifications.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including early mornings and late afternoons.
• Physical ability to assist students as needed, including lifting or helping with mobility.

Responsibilities

• Monitor student behavior on the bus to ensure compliance with safety rules and regulations.
• Assist students in boarding and disembarking the bus safely.
• Address any behavioral issues or conflicts among students in a calm and effective manner.
• Communicate effectively with the bus driver regarding any concerns or incidents that may arise during the route.
• Help maintain a clean and organized bus environment.
• Provide assistance to students with special needs as necessary.
• Conduct regular safety checks and report any maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel.
• Attend training sessions and meetings as required.
