About The Position

As a Bus Driver at Child Development Schools, you will provide safe, reliable transportation for students to and from school and/or activities. You may also support classrooms alongside a Lead Teacher, helping young learners through meaningful experiences that encourage curiosity, confidence, kindness, and growth. You will help create a warm, welcoming environment where children feel safe and supported, act as a trusted partner to families and a positive role model for children, and contribute to a collaborative teaching team focused on engaging, nurturing, safe, and fun early childhood education.

Requirements

• At least 21 years old.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Genuine care for children and a commitment to their safety and well-being.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships with families.
• Physical ability to meet the demands of working with young children.
• Clean driving record.

Nice To Haves

• A degree or coursework in Early Childhood Education.
• Prior experience in a licensed childcare center.

Responsibilities

• Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom that meets licensing and ratio requirements.
• Provide on-time, safe, and reliable transportation for Before and After School programs.
• Engage directly with children during activities, meals, transitions, and outdoor time.
• Observe children and share developmental notes with the Lead Teacher.
• Build relationships with families through warm, consistent daily communication.
• Assist with classroom documentation, including attendance and daily reports.
• Maintain a safe bus environment.
