About The Position

As a Bus Driver at Child Development Schools, you will provide safe, reliable transportation for students to and from school and/or activities, including for Before and After School programs. You may also support classrooms alongside the Lead Teacher, helping young learners through meaningful experiences that encourage curiosity, confidence, kindness, and growth. You will contribute to a warm, welcoming environment where children feel safe, supported, and excited to explore. The role also involves serving as a trusted partner to families, a positive role model for children, and a member of a collaborative teaching team dedicated to engaging, nurturing, safe, and fun early childhood education.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years old.
• Have a high school diploma or GED.
• Be able to pass a background check.
• Show genuine care for children and commitment to their safety and well-being.
• Have strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships with families.
• Have the physical ability to meet the demands of working with young children.
• Have a clean driving record.

Nice To Haves

• A degree or coursework in Early Childhood Education.
• Prior experience in a licensed childcare center.

Responsibilities

• Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom that meets licensing and ratio requirements.
• Provide on-time, safe, and reliable transportation for Before and After School programs.
• Engage directly with children during activities, meals, transitions, and outdoor time.
• Observe children and share developmental notes with the Lead Teacher.
• Build relationships with families through warm, consistent daily communication.
• Assist with classroom documentation, including attendance and daily reports.
• Maintain a safe bus environment.
