Bus Driver - Regular Route
About The Position
Newton Community School District is hiring a Bus Driver for regular school-day routes. Routes run Monday through Friday and are approximately 3 hours per day. Additional hours are available year round for activity trips and extracurricular activities. The hourly route base pay for the 2026–2027 salary schedule is $33.29; activity and extracurricular trips pay $21.12 per hour. CDL training is provided, and bus drivers receive IPERS retirement benefits. The start date is November 2026. Applicants with completed applications will be considered during screening. Selected applicants will be contacted by the transportation supervisor by phone or email to arrange an interview. Applicants not selected for an interview will receive an email notification. Hired applicants must pass a DCI background check and meet pre-employment requirements.
