About The Position
DAEOC is seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Bus Drivers and Custodians. This role involves safely transporting pre-school students to Head Start locations, ensuring a clean and secure environment on the bus, and maintaining the mechanical integrity of the vehicle. Full-time positions are available for candidates willing to also provide custodial services within the center, which include benefits. Part-time bus driving opportunities are also an option.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Three to six months related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- CDL (class A or B) driver's license valid in the state of Missouri with passenger endorsement.
- Must be at least 25 years old (per insurance company requirements).
- Ability to provide proof of degree (diploma or official transcript) if interviewed.
Responsibilities
- Transport pre-school students to Head Start locations.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and healthful environment for children and staff during transport.
- Ensure the security of the bus.
- Ensure the bus is safe and mechanically maintained at all times.
- Provide custodial assistance in the center (for full-time positions).
