About The Position
Acme Brick Company is seeking a Burning Operator with a strong work ethic and flexibility to support company operations and contribute to an effective team and pleasant work environment. Acme Brick manufactures brick and distributes its own products as well as brick and related products made by others, operating in 13 states. This is a safety-sensitive, non-exempt position. Personal protective equipment is required and provided. The role requires an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of relevant experience.
- Computer literacy.
- Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
- Ability to gather and analyze information skillfully.
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment.
Responsibilities
- Transfer kiln cars in and out of the burners.
- Monitor the kiln and make adjustments.
- Change temperatures as needed.
- Change the burners.
- Monitor brick quality.
