About The Position
As a Bun Prep, you will support daily kitchen operations by efficiently operating and maintaining specialized bun and dessert dumpling machinery. You will manage the full production cycle, from loading and unloading steamers to packing, sealing, and labeling finished products according to health regulations and Din Tai Fung standards. A key focus of this role is performing rigorous quality control checks to ensure every item meets our strict consistency and presentation benchmarks.
Requirements

- Assisting in cleaning different types of bun and dessert dumpling-related machinery.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Applicant must be 18 years of age or older and able to provide documentation to work in the United States legally.
Nice To Haves
- Monday-Saturday Availability preferred.
- Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.
Responsibilities
- Support daily kitchen operations by efficiently operating and maintaining specialized bun and dessert dumpling machinery.
- Manage the full production cycle, from loading and unloading steamers to packing, sealing, and labeling finished products according to health regulations and Din Tai Fung standards.
- Perform rigorous quality control checks to ensure every item meets strict consistency and presentation benchmarks.
- Keep all kitchen areas clean and sanitized.
- Organize items within the walk-in coolers and freezers.
- Lift/move boxes, bags, chairs, and tables (up to 50 pounds).
- Assist with regular deep cleaning of the kitchen.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding all proprietary information, including but not limited to recipes and Standard Operating Procedures (“SOP’s“).
