About The Position
Athletes Unlimited (AU) owns and operates professional women’s leagues in softball, volleyball, and basketball, focusing on world-class competition and fan experience. AU is unique in its athlete-driven model, with athlete representation on the board, Player Executive Committees leading each league, and players sharing in the company's long-term profits. As a Public Benefit Corporation, AU is committed to shaping policies that support its athletes. The Athletes Unlimited Softball League (AUSL) was launched in June 2025 and is expanding to a city-based model in 2026. The AUSL is seeking Bullpen Catchers to support the AUSL Pro Game at the Little League Softball World Series on August 5, 2026, in Greenville, NC. The ideal candidate will have experience in softball, the ability to perform physical tasks, and a strong motivation to contribute to a professional women's softball team. A minimum of college playing experience at the catcher position is required. Applicants must be local to the Greenville, NC area and possess reliable transportation.
Requirements

- Ability to work weekends, holidays, and non-traditional hours when in season.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities
- Catching pitches ranging from 60-80mph.
- Performing job duties outdoors in summer weather, including exposure to heat, humidity, and direct sunlight.
- Standing for the duration of each shift (approximately 4 hours) while performing job-related tasks.
Benefits
- The rate for this position is $15/hour.
- As this is a seasonal position, traditional employee benefits such as health insurance, paid time off, and retirement plans are not included.
- 1099 Contractors are responsible for their own taxes and insurance coverage.
