About The Position

Ascend Staffing is hiring a Bulk Operator Trainee for an industrial worksite in South Houston, Texas. The role supports the movement and packaging of materials, including loading and unloading trucks. Work may involve tanks and transfer areas, climbing ladders and stairs, and handling materials safely. The position requires outdoor work year-round, including in hot weather, and may require working overtime or other shifts as needed. Training is conducted on the day shift (8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.) for two weeks, after which the schedule moves to the evening shift (4:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.).

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to read and write in English; English communication is required.
• Ability to work outdoors year-round, especially in hot conditions.
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds.
• Comfortable going up and down ladders and stairs and working at heights.
• Ability to load and unload trucks.
• Flexibility to work other shifts and overtime as needed.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and work instructions.
• No felonies in the last seven years.

Nice To Haves

• Spanish language skills.
• Experience unloading railcars.
• Experience gauging tanks and taking tank temperatures.
• Experience pulling samples from tanks or railcars.
• Experience lining up piping to transfer material.
• Previous bulk packaging, warehouse, or industrial labor experience.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.
