About The Position

HOBO, Inc. and ChemQuest, Inc. are leaders in custom chemical formulating, blending, and bulk chemical delivery to the commercial car wash industry. We have an excellent opportunity for a Bulk Delivery Driver position based out of our manufacturing facility in Lakeville, MN. The delivery driver assists the sales and service team by: Driving a company provided straight truck to deliver bulk car wash chemicals via pumps and hoses to our car wash customers, along with packaged chemicals. Providing excellent customer service to our customers in MN, WI, ND and SD. Inspecting, maintaining and ensuring truck and vehicle supplies are in good, legal and safe operating condition. Maintain all records such as vehicle logs, bills of lading, etc. in accordance with procedures and regulations.

Requirements

  • Must possess a valid Commercial Driver's License CDL B with appropriate endorsements, and a clean driving record.
  • Must have, or have the ability to obtain, Hazardous Materials and Tanker endorsements (for vehicles greater than 26,000 lbs. GVW hauling greater than 1,001 lbs. of hazardous materials) within 60 days of employment.
  • Must have the ability to obtain the employer's DOT Hazmat General Awareness Training Certificate within 30 days of employment.
  • Must have, or have the ability to obtain, Forklift certification within 60 days of employment.
  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent and one to two years driving experience required.

Nice To Haves

  • One to two years of previous experience as a bulk chemical delivery driver or similar role preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain a company-provided straight truck to deliver bulk and packaged chemicals, adhering to all DOT regulations, state laws and company safety policies.
  • Load and unload chemicals from the truck, using pumps and hoses to transfer bulk chemicals into customer tanks or dropping off drums.
  • Perform pre-trip inspections, check fluids and tires, and maintain the truck's cleanliness and overall condition.
  • Responsible for notifying supervisor and maintenance of any service or mechanical issues.
  • Maintain accurate records, including vehicle logs, bills of lading, and shipping documents.
  • Provide excellent customer service, interact with clients, and communicate effectively with team members.
  • Perform warehouse transfers between company locations.
  • Assists in general warehouse duties when delivery route is completed.
  • Adhere to all FMCSA policies, including drug and alcohol testing policies.
  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
