About The Position

At Sprouts Farmers Market, a Bulk Clerk maintains, packs, and stocks bulk foods. The role follows the merchandising Bulk plan by packaging and scaling bulk items, filling bulk bins, and preparing, wrapping, and pricing packages accurately and legibly. The clerk rotates products using code dates and follows the company’s cleaning and sanitation program. The position provides customer service and ensures bulk items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented, while keeping the Bulk area clean. The Bulk Clerk assists the Bulk Manager as needed, maintains equipment in safe working condition, and receives, unloads, and stocks merchandise as needed throughout the day. The work takes place in a fast-paced grocery retail environment. Team members under 18 are restricted from using knives other than safety cutters, using ladders, operating garbage or cardboard compactors, operating motor- or electronically powered equipment (including manual pallet jacks), and working in coolers or freezers for prolonged periods. The pay range is $17.55–$21.88 per hour. Sprouts states that pay is based on applicable experience and qualifications. Some benefits have eligibility requirements.

Requirements

Be at least 16 years of age.
Be dependable and reliable, with the ability to work a changing flexible schedule that includes nights, weekends, and holidays.

Be able to vertically and horizontally transfer product weighing up to 50 lbs. from 4 to 36 inches, for a distance up to 4 feet, for up to 15 hours without mechanical assistance.

Responsibilities

Maintain, pack, and stock bulk foods.
Follow the merchandising Bulk plan by packaging and scaling bulk items and filling bulk bins.
Prepare, wrap, and price bulk packages accurately and legibly.
Rotate products using code dates.
Follow the company’s cleaning and sanitation program.
Provide customer service and ensure bulk items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented.
Maintain cleanliness of the Bulk area at all times.
Assist the Bulk Manager as needed.
Maintain equipment in safe working condition.
Receive, unload, and stock merchandise as needed throughout the day.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Adhere to safety, health, OSHA, and Weights and Measures regulations.
