About The Position

A Bulk Clerk at Sprouts Farmers Market maintains, packages, and stocks bulk foods while providing a high level of customer service. The role includes following the Bulk merchandising plan; accurately packaging, scaling, filling, wrapping, and pricing bulk items; rotating products by code dates; and following company cleaning and sanitation procedures. The clerk keeps the Bulk area clean, maintains equipment in safe working condition, assists the Bulk Manager as needed, and receives, unloads, and stocks merchandise throughout the day. This is a fast-paced role involving frequent physical handling of products and schedules that may include nights, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

Be at least 16 years of age.
Be dependable and reliable, with the ability to work a flexible, changing schedule that includes nights, weekends, and holidays.

Have a positive attitude and the ability to interact with customers.
Have good communication skills and the ability to take direction and participate in a team environment.
Be able to perform repetitive activities, multitask, prioritize, and stay organized.
Be able to vertically and horizontally transfer product weighing up to 50 lbs. from 4 to 36 inches, for a distance up to 4 feet, for up to 15 hours without mechanical assistance.
Adhere to all safety, health, OSHA, and Weights and Measures regulations.

Responsibilities

Maintain, package, and stock bulk foods according to the Bulk merchandising plan.
Package and scale bulk items, fill bulk bins, and prepare, wrap, and price packages accurately and legibly.
Rotate products using code dates.
Follow the company cleaning and sanitation program and keep the Bulk area clean.
Provide a high level of customer service and ensure Bulk items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented.
Assist the Bulk Manager as needed.
Maintain all equipment in safe working condition.
Receive, unload, and stock merchandise as needed throughout the day.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
