About The Position
Natural Organics Inc., which markets products under the Natures Plus brand, is seeking a Bulk Attendant for its Production Department in Melville, NY. The Bulk Attendant works at a designated spot on the production line, follows good manufacturing guidelines, checks product for impurities, keeps parts, machines, and the designated area clean, verifies components against the production order’s bill of materials (BOM), and supports production and packing activities. The attendant must communicate issues or problems to the Line Lead.
Requirements
- Basic math skills.
- Reading and writing skills.
- English comprehension.
- Ability to stand and walk short distances for most of the day.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
Responsibilities
- Follow current good manufacturing practices (cGMP) and good manufacturing guidelines.
- Check bulk product and bottles for impurities.
- Clean parts and machines and maintain cleanliness in the designated area.
- Verify components against the BOM (Production Order).
- Dump bulk product or bottles and refill rayon and caps.
- Read product coding and verify that the information is correct against the BOM.
- Pack products at the end of the line and ensure the correct count in each carton or tray.
- Communicate any issues or problems to the Line Lead.
