About The Position
The Buildings & Grounds Technician will ensure that all Amicalola EMC facilities and lawns are properly maintained and kept clean, creating a positive first impression for members and visitors.
Requirements
- Must demonstrate high integrity and the ability to apply critical thinking to solve problems
- Must be able to operate and maintain a variety of equipment related to the job
- Must possess strong time management skills and the ability to work independently
- Must be able to complete required forklift training
- Must maintain a valid driver's license
- High school diploma or equivalent required
Nice To Haves
- Commercial Driver's License preferred
- Previous experience in general maintenance, including exposure to electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and related building maintenance techniques preferred
- Experience in lawn care preferred
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the maintenance of all buildings and grounds
- Inspects buildings and grounds periodically, assesses problem areas, and coordinates or performs necessary repairs and maintenance
- Maintains heating and air conditioning systems, emergency generator, fueling system, and maintenance equipment
- Assists with preparation for annual and special meetings or events as required
- Performs other duties as assigned
