About The Position

The Buildings and Grounds Technician maintains cleanliness and orderly conditions in areas around the plant, including workstations, social areas, and grounds. With direct guidance and oversight, the technician maintains and repairs minor defects in social and outside areas, performs general groundskeeping, and carries out minor construction and repairs to support facility operations. The role may also involve learning and assisting with routine building maintenance and repairs under direct supervision, inspecting equipment and systems for preventive maintenance according to plant protocol, and moving equipment and furniture for cleaning or renovation. The technician must follow all safety rules and regulations and help maintain a safe, clean work environment. Other duties may be assigned.

This is a full-time, first-shift position in West Columbia, South Carolina, paying $24.25 per hour. Second- and third-shift options carry a $0.50 hourly premium. Relocation reimbursement is not included.

Requirements

• Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
• Must be able to paint and caulk.
• Basic knowledge of building grounds maintenance and landscaping skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure and monitor clean and orderly conditions around the plant, including workstations, social areas, and grounds.
• Maintain and repair minor defects in social and outside areas under direct guidance and oversight, including general groundskeeping.
• Perform minor construction and repairs under direct guidance to support ongoing facility operations.
• Observe and support minor repairs on systems, including routine building maintenance and repairs, under direct supervision.
• May inspect equipment and systems for preventive maintenance according to plant protocol.
• Move equipment and furniture for cleaning or renovation purposes.
• Follow safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe, clean work environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
