Building Systems Data Analyst

About The Position

The Smart Building Data Analyst is responsible for ensuring the quality of building system data entering a management platform. This involves verifying that submitted points match system entries, are correctly named and placed, and report plausible values. The role also includes ongoing monitoring of live data for issues like stale or out-of-range values, troubleshooting data problems, assisting colleagues in data retrieval, and initiating work orders for equipment or integration faults. This detail-oriented, desk-based position is designed as an entry point into smart buildings technology for individuals early in their careers. The role is part of the Energy Smart Buildings (ESB) team and reports to the Technical Manager, working closely with senior integrators who handle platform integration and serve as an escalation path. The ESB team operates downstream from the Facility System Business Rules (FSBR) team, which commissions building systems. Onboarding may involve shadowing FSBR to understand the commissioning process. The work is primarily desk-based with occasional site exposure opportunities.
