About The Position

Montrose School, an independent school for girls in grades 6-12 guided by the teachings of the Catholic Church, seeks a full-time Building Substitute to join our Academic Team. This role supervises students in various settings such as hall duty, study halls, and lunches. The Building Substitute also serves as an on-call substitute teacher, filling in for absent teachers as needed. Additionally, this position provides office support to the Academic Office and the Front Desk/Registrar. This is an hourly position with a wage range of $23-$25 per hour.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required
• Good working knowledge of adolescent development
• Good working knowledge of educational best practices
• Strong computer skills (Zoom, Google Suite)
• Sound judgment and discretion
• Ability to work independently under pressure
• Ability to foster a positive, focused student culture

Responsibilities

• Supervise students (hall duty, study halls, lunches, etc.)
• Serve as the on-call substitute teacher, stepping into classrooms as needed
• Provide additional office support for the Academic Office and Front Desk/Registrar as needed
