As a Building Services Technician at GRADD, you play a vital role in maintaining the appearance, safety, and functionality of agency facilities. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Prior experience in janitorial, custodial, or facility maintenance roles preferred
  • Basic knowledge of building maintenance and cleaning procedures
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in quality work
  • Ability to work independently and manage daily responsibilities
  • Basic mechanical and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safety procedures
  • Reliability and strong work ethic
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in indoor and outdoor environments

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors
  • Clean and disinfect restrooms, including toilets, sinks, and fixtures
  • Restock restroom and facility supplies such as soap, paper towels, and tissue
  • Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, and surfaces throughout the building
  • Clean windows, glass partitions, mirrors, and walls
  • Collect and dispose of trash from offices, common areas, and outdoor receptacles
  • Transport waste to designated disposal areas in a timely and safe manner
  • Maintain exterior areas including walkways, entrances, and courtyards
  • Remove debris, sweep outdoor areas, and clear cobwebs
  • Perform routine minor maintenance such as replacing light bulbs, adjusting doors, and fixing minor plumbing issues
  • Monitor facility conditions and report maintenance needs for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or structural repairs
  • Assist with preventative maintenance tasks to ensure building functionality
  • Ensure buildings are secured at the end of the day, including locking doors and checking equipment
  • Follow proper safety procedures when handling cleaning chemicals and equipment
  • Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to all safety protocols
  • Monitor inventory levels of cleaning and maintenance supplies
  • Requisition and organizing supplies to ensure availability
  • Maintain cleaning equipment in proper working condition
