Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Prior experience in janitorial, custodial, or facility maintenance roles preferred
Basic knowledge of building maintenance and cleaning procedures
Strong attention to detail and pride in quality work
Ability to work independently and manage daily responsibilities
Basic mechanical and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safety procedures
Reliability and strong work ethic
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in indoor and outdoor environments

Responsibilities

Perform daily cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors
Clean and disinfect restrooms, including toilets, sinks, and fixtures
Restock restroom and facility supplies such as soap, paper towels, and tissue
Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, and surfaces throughout the building
Clean windows, glass partitions, mirrors, and walls
Collect and dispose of trash from offices, common areas, and outdoor receptacles
Transport waste to designated disposal areas in a timely and safe manner
Maintain exterior areas including walkways, entrances, and courtyards
Remove debris, sweep outdoor areas, and clear cobwebs
Perform routine minor maintenance such as replacing light bulbs, adjusting doors, and fixing minor plumbing issues
Monitor facility conditions and report maintenance needs for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or structural repairs
Assist with preventative maintenance tasks to ensure building functionality
Ensure buildings are secured at the end of the day, including locking doors and checking equipment
Follow proper safety procedures when handling cleaning chemicals and equipment
Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to all safety protocols
Monitor inventory levels of cleaning and maintenance supplies
Requisition and organizing supplies to ensure availability
Maintain cleaning equipment in proper working condition
