About The Position

The Building Services Aide performs housekeeping duties for the hospital’s Environmental Services Department. The role is responsible for general cleaning tasks that maintain an assigned area of the hospital in clean, sanitary, orderly, and satisfactory condition for patients, colleagues, and the public. The aide promotes sanitary conditions to help prevent the spread of infection and odors. Duties may involve exposure to visible or reasonably anticipated blood contamination. Work may also extend to the Medical Office Building, other buildings, and adjacent grounds of the Medical Center’s premises. The position is full time on the evening shift, 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., with an every-other-weekend commitment.

Requirements

At least 1 year of experience.
High school diploma or equivalency preferred.
Ability to perform duties that may involve exposure to visible or reasonably anticipated blood contamination.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

Perform general cleaning tasks to maintain assigned hospital areas in a clean, sanitary, orderly condition.
Promote sanitary conditions to help prevent the spread of infection and odors.
Perform cleaning, floor care, and project assignments within the assigned area or as directed by a supervisor.
Maintain equipment, tools, and storage areas in clean, orderly, good operating condition.
Respect hospital and company property.
Perform duties that may extend to the Medical Office Building, other buildings, and adjacent grounds.
