About The Position

The Building Services Aide performs housekeeping duties for the hospital’s Environmental Services Department. The role maintains an assigned hospital area in a clean, sanitary, orderly, and satisfying condition for patients, colleagues, and the public. By promoting sanitary conditions, the position helps prevent the spread of infection and odors. Duties may involve exposure to visible or reasonably anticipated blood contamination. Assignments may also extend to the Medical Office Building, other buildings, and adjacent grounds on the Medical Center’s premises.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience.
• High school diploma or equivalency is preferred.

Nice To Haves

• 2–4 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform general cleaning tasks to maintain assigned hospital areas in a clean, sanitary, orderly, and satisfying condition.
• Promote sanitary conditions to help prevent the spread of infection and odors.
• Perform cleaning, floor care, and project assignments within the area of responsibility or as directed by a supervisor.
• Maintain equipment, tools, and storage areas in clean, orderly, and good operating condition.
• Respect Hospital and Company property.
