About The Position

This position is a 12-month term of employment with non-exempt status, falling under the AFSCME UA, Grade 3-4 salary scale. Evening hours will be determined based on school assignment. The role involves cleaning and maintaining school facilities, grounds, and equipment, as well as assisting with supplies and equipment relocation. Regular attendance and willingness to work overtime in emergencies are expected. The job requires the ability to perform manual labor and operate within specific environmental factors and physical requirements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read and write effectively.
• Physically capable of performing manual labor.
• Good verbal communications and human relation skills.
• A willingness to work overtime as required in cases of emergency.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and cares for floors.
• Collects refuse both inside and outside the building.
• Dusts and cleans walls, windows, ceilings, and equipment.
• Cares for exterior of building and grounds.
• Assists in receipt and relocation of supplies and equipment.
• Regular on time attendance.
• Performs related duties as assigned by the Supervisor of Operations or the School/Building Principal.
