About The Position

The City of Dickinson Public Works Department is looking for a Building Service Worker to help keep our facilities clean, safe, and fully operational. Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Up to one year of experience in janitorial, maintenance, or similar type of work, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
• Valid Driver’s License

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of Public Works buildings, shops, and facilities
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, locker rooms, and common areas
• Sweep, mop, buff floors; vacuum and shampoo carpets
• Empty trash, recycling, and shop waste containers
• Clean windows, blinds, walls, and equipment surfaces
• Restock restroom and facility supplies
• Assist with setup for trainings, meetings, and department events
• Perform minor maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs
• Remove snow and debris from entrances, sidewalks, and facility access points
• Lock/unlock facilities and help ensure building security
• Support safe, clean working conditions for Public Works operations
• Respond to facility-related needs and emergencies as required
