Building Materials Supervisor
About The Position
The Building Materials Supervisor oversees the timely and efficient fulfilment of truss and / or lumber orders to Sunpro Customers. This role is responsible for visualizing, fulfilling, and implementing the company vision and core values. The supervisor will ensure timely and correct dispatch and delivery of materials, gather and enter delivery information, monitor demand, dispatch delivery trucks, and verify each load. Additionally, the role involves maintaining accurate documentation, reports, and sales records, overseeing and maintaining inventory, and assisting in the management of operational and sales activities. The supervisor will also assist customers with problem resolution, adhere to company policies, maintain an insurable driving record, oversee yard vehicles and equipment, and ensure compliance with all operations safety requirements. Other duties may be assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- 5 years of experience in material handling
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to develop and mentor others & foster teamwork
- Basic knowledge of construction industry
- Effective organizational skills
- Strong computer and 10-key skills
- General mathematic skills
- Maintain insurable driving record
Responsibilities

- Continually monitor demand, dispatch delivery trucks, and verify each load
- Maintain complete and accurate documentation, reports, and sales records
- Oversight and maintenance of inventory
- Assist in the management of operational and sales activities
- Assist customers in problem resolution
- Review, understand, and adhere to Sunpro policies and procedures
- Maintain insurable driving record
- Oversight of yard vehicles and equipment
- Ensure compliance with all operations safety requirements
- Other duties as assigned
