About The Position

We are seeking a Building Manager to support our USMC contract. This role involves maintaining and preserving real property assets, controlling operational costs, and ensuring the provision of quality facility-related services. The Building Manager will coordinate all on-site building operations, including maintenance, alterations, cleaning, recycling, safety, environmental, and security activities. They will also receive and act upon customer requests for service, complaints, and other issues, coordinating appropriate actions or resolutions for custodial or maintenance service calls, security, emergency responses, reimbursable activities, contractor coordination, scheduling, conference facilities, concessions, and parking. The role requires investigating and determining the need for repairs or enhancement projects, coordinating these projects, and analyzing the impact on building systems and equipment to meet customer needs. The Building Manager will also prepare, review, and consider lifecycle condition analyses and similar assessments, integrating findings into project scopes of work. Additionally, they will prepare specifications for estimates and monitor contractor repairs to operating equipment and utilities, including electrical and water/sewage systems, as well as repairs due to damage from fire, storms, or vandalism.

  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as but not limited to: standing for prolonged periods of time, lifting/moving up to 50 pounds, walking up and down flights of stairs.
  • Delegation and multi-tasking ability, while working in a faced paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining and preserving the real property assets, maintaining or lowering operational costs, and ensuring the provision of quality facility-related services.
  • Coordinating all on-site building operations, maintenance, alterations, cleaning, recycling, safety, environmental, and security activities.
  • Receiving written or oral customer requests for service, complaints, and other issues and coordinates appropriate action or resolution.
  • Investigate and determine the need for repairs or enhancement projects, and coordinate the necessary repairs or projects.
  • Analyze and monitor the impact on building systems and equipment to determine facility capability in meeting customer needs.
  • Prepares reviews and/or considers lifecycle condition analysis and similar assessments. From those findings, integrates and quantifies requirements into a scope of work for the project.
  • Prepares specifications for estimates and monitors repairs by contractors to all items of operating equipment and utilities; this may include electrical systems, water supply and sewage systems in addition to repairs necessitated by damage to buildings due to fire, storms, vandalism, etc.
  • Must have the ability to perform physical tasks such as but not limited to: standing for prolonged periods of time, lifting/moving up to 50 pounds, walking up and down flights of stairs.
