About The Position

RIMA is seeking a dependable, hardworking team member for its Maintenance Department. This hands-on role supports facility maintenance operations and helps keep the facility clean, organized, safe, and running smoothly. The employee works independently on regularly scheduled responsibilities and communicates with supervisors and managers as needed. The position is on 2nd shift, and candidates must be available to train on 1st shift before transitioning to their regular schedule.

The role is based in a light manufacturing environment and may involve exposure to machinery, noise, fumes, and varying temperatures. Hearing protection and safety glasses are provided by RIMA; employees must provide their own slip-resistant safety shoes. The position requires repetitive lifting of at least 40 pounds and occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Dependable and able to work independently.
• Comfortable working in an active manufacturing environment.
• Able to follow established safety procedures.
• Able to lift at least 40 pounds repetitively and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Available to train on 1st shift before moving to 2nd shift.
• Provide personal slip-resistant safety shoes.

Nice To Haves

• Previous maintenance, manufacturing, janitorial, or related experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate a floor scrubber and maintain clean production floors.
• Sweep and mop floors throughout the facility.
• Clean mop buckets and other maintenance equipment.
• Clean metal shavings and debris from machines and work areas.
• Operate an oil separator.
• Move materials to machines for production operators.
• Assist with general material movement and production support.
• Perform snow removal as needed.
• Maintain a neat, clean, and orderly work environment.
• Complete other maintenance and facility assignments as needed.
• Communicate with supervisors and managers as needed.
