About The Position

Eden Valley Poultry Incorporated is seeking a Building Maintenance Worker to join our team. Reporting to the Chief Engineer, you are responsible for general building maintenance functions, maintenance repairs, upkeep, and plant start-up requirements. As a processor of chicken and turkey for our Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island farmers, Eden Valley Poultry is unique in the industry. Requirements

Must be able to work Monday- Friday 3:00pm-11:00pm
A high school diploma, Grade 12 or equivalent.
One year of related maintenance/operations experience.
Knowledge of general maintenance procedures and HVAC electrical/mechanical systems.
Knowledge of construction materials and basic power tools.
Good mechanical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to communicate effectively in English
Can work overtime as needed

Responsibilities

Identify and recommend preventive maintenance requirements for the building and basic equipment.
Inspect and maintain HVAC systems.
Perform minor plumbing repairs.
Maintain a service log to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Assist with snow removal and ground maintenance, when required.
Ensure and enforce compliance to all company and legislated safety policies and procedures.
