About The Position
This position is responsible for performing routine repairs and maintenance of buildings, equipment, and vehicles. It also involves routine grounds keeping work to ensure the beautification of the landscape and minor plumbing and carpentry repair work. The role includes performing preventative maintenance of Salvation Army vehicles, routine maintenance activities, and driving a Salvation Army vehicle to pick up materials, supplies, donations, mail, and the like.
Requirements
- High school diploma or G.E.D. AND two years’ experience performing maintenance work in a general maintenance environment OR any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting of supplies, materials, etc. weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to perform continuous walking, stooping, standing, and some climbing.
- Valid state driver's license.
- Must pass a level 2 background screening.
