About The Position

Tara Golf & Country Club is seeking a Facility & Building Maintenance Technician to join our team. Established in 1989, Tara Golf is a private, member-owned country club located on Florida’s west coast and is recognized as one of the premier clubs in the Bradenton area. The property features a 6,800-yard, par 72 golf course and is part of one of the most well-known and highly regarded golf course communities in the Sarasota-Bradenton region. Requirements

Two years of facility maintenance experience; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved
Good organizational and verbal skills.
Ability to use logical and rational thinking to resolve issues.
Ability to perform basic mathematical skills, monitor and develop subordinates, visually monitor the operation areas and write and read member communication.
Must have the ability to perform moderate physical work and may be required to lift to 80 lbs., up to 40 lbs. frequently.
Perform activities such as bending, kneeling, crouching, climbing, reaching, standing, pushing, lifting and grasping for up to 5 hours without sitting.
Ability to consistently lift, carry and load equipment that may weigh 50 or more pounds, and sustain aerobic activity for 20 consecutive minutes.

Nice To Haves

Use the following safety precautions when using an 8ft. ladder: Correct placement of the ladder. The safest angle for a straight ladder is to ensure it is placed on-fourth the distance from the base to the point of support. “A” frame ladders naturally comply. Ensure the ladder is placed on a firm level surface, and do not place the ladder near a doorway. Ensure there are non-skid shoes on the ladder. If using a medal ladder, be sure that it is not near electrical wires. One person on a ladder at one time, and ensure another staff member is holding the ladder in position. Never overreach.

Responsibilities

Performs repairs and maintenance and ensures cleanliness of all facilities.
Manages contracts and contracted services that pertain to the maintenance of the facilities.
Oversees operation of mechanical and power equipment utilized in the maintenance of the facilities
Monitors restrooms, offices and storage rooms and perform maintenance procedures as required to ensure safe and sanitary conditions
Completes reports as required
Ensures compliance with all Health Department regulations
Completes daily, bi-weekly, weekly and monthly task lists
Responds to emergency after-hours problems and alarms
General repair tasks to include plumbing, electrical, painting, woodworking, etc
Monitors and maintains equipment and operating and cleaning supplies
Protect the assets of the Club.
