Building Maintenance Technician
About The Position
The City of Webster's Public Works Department is accepting applications for the position of Building Maintenance Technician. The purpose of this position is to maintain all City buildings and facilities. This is accomplished by ensuring City buildings and facilities meet acceptable standards of safety, comfort, and appearance. Other duties may include providing general repair services, maintaining air conditioning, heating, plumbing, and lighting equipment, assisting in construction projects, making electrical repairs, and interfacing with other City employees and citizens. This position does not provide direction to other employees.
Requirements
- Valid Texas Class "C" Driver's License
Nice To Haves
- Preferred certifications in HVAC, plumbing, and/or electrical.
- Preferred universal freon recovery certification
Responsibilities
- Maintain all City buildings and facilities.
- Ensure City buildings and facilities meet acceptable standards of safety, comfort, and appearance.
- Provide general repair services.
- Maintain air conditioning, heating, plumbing, and lighting equipment.
- Assist in construction projects.
- Make electrical repairs.
- Interface with other City employees and citizens.
