About The Position

Mozaic (A Chapter of The Arc NY) is seeking a skilled and dependable Building Maintenance Technician to help keep its buildings and grounds safe, functional, and welcoming. The position performs hands-on maintenance and repair work, preventive maintenance, inspections, and support for renovation and improvement projects. It also supports grounds maintenance and seasonal needs, including snow removal, and works with supervisors and maintenance team members to complete projects efficiently. This is a full-time position, 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, at 240 North Ave, Penn Yan, NY. Participation in an evening and weekend on-call rotation is required. Pay is $17.00–$18.00 per hour. Mozaic is a not-for-profit organization serving the Finger Lakes Region and supporting more than 2,000 people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The facilities team helps create safe, dependable, and welcoming environments for the people Mozaic supports and its employees.

Requirements

Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic.
At least 2 years of building maintenance experience or equivalent.
Working knowledge of carpentry, electrical, plumbing, heating, and air conditioning systems.
Valid NYS Driver's License acceptable to the Agency's insurance carrier.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work independently and take pride in quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

Perform general plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and building repairs.
Complete preventive maintenance and facility inspections.
Assist with renovation and improvement projects.
Safely operate power tools and maintenance equipment.
Support grounds maintenance and seasonal needs, including snow removal.
Work with supervisors and maintenance team members to complete projects efficiently.
Help maintain safe, comfortable, and welcoming spaces for the people supported by Mozaic and its employees.
