About The Position

Under the direction of the Facilities Maintenance Manager, the Building Maintenance Supervisor plans, schedules, and supervises daily maintenance and repair of agency facilities and equipment. These include public-facing passenger facilities—transit centers, stations, and park-and-rides—as well as operations and maintenance (O&M) facilities such as bus garages, shops, fueling and wash systems, and administrative buildings. The supervisor provides first-line leadership to facilities technicians and ensures passenger facilities are safe, clean, accessible, and in service for customers, while O&M facilities and shop equipment remain available to support daily service. The role consistently supervises three facilities maintenance technicians and may supervise up to nine depending on coverage needs. The position covers the Nestor and Myatt O&M facilities, WeGo Central, North Nashville and Hillsboro transit centers, park-and-ride facilities, and WeGo Star stations. The regular schedule is day shift, Monday through Friday, with an on-call rotation for after-hours, weekend, and severe-weather response. The supervisor oversees preventive maintenance and repairs, contractor work, minor projects, asset records, procurement activity, and maintenance reporting. The role also coordinates facility work with Operations, Customer Care, Security, Fleet Maintenance, and other groups; enforces safety and environmental requirements; and supports accessibility and transit asset management programs. Work takes place in office, shop, yard, and public-facility settings, indoors and outdoors in all weather, with frequent physical activity and exposure to operational hazards.
