Maintenance Mechanic JLL What this job involves: As a Maintenance Mechanic at JLL, you'll be the hands-on problem solver who keeps our client facilities running smoothly every day. This role combines technical expertise with practical problem-solving as you perform preventive maintenance and repairs across mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. Working both independently and alongside our Mobile Engineer Services (MES) team, you'll ensure that building operations remain uninterrupted and occupants experience safe, comfortable environments. Your work directly supports JLL's commitment to delivering exceptional facility management services that enhance property value and tenant satisfaction. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent with valid third-party certification in facility maintenance or related technical field.
  • Minimum 1-3 years of hands-on experience in general building repair and maintenance, with demonstrated skills in basic plumbing and electrical systems.
  • Valid state driver's license with clean driving record and ability to operate vehicles safely for extended periods.
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS), particularly Corrigo or similar platforms.
  • Strong customer service orientation with demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with building occupants and respond professionally to service requests.
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations, local building codes, and hazardous materials handling procedures.
  • Experience performing facility inspections and documenting building conditions for client reporting purposes.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while also collaborating effectively as part of a maintenance team.
  • Physical capability to lift up to 80 lbs, work from heights up to 30 feet on ladders (300 lb weight limit), and perform frequent climbing, bending, kneeling, stooping, and overhead work.
  • Proven ability to work in adverse environmental conditions including extreme temperatures, confined spaces, and variable weather while maintaining safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Execute preventive maintenance and respond to repair work orders for mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and building systems, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption to facility operations.
  • Conduct regular facility inspections and due diligence assessments, identifying and documenting conditions that may impact client operations or occupancy satisfaction.
  • Perform general interior maintenance tasks including furniture assembly and repair, door adjustments, fixture installations, picture hanging, and keyboard tray mounting to support tenant needs.
  • Maintain HVAC system components by cleaning coils, replacing filters and belts, and changing lighting fixtures and ballasts to ensure optimal building performance.
  • Utilize the Corrigo CMMS system to document all work performed, update work order statuses in real time, and maintain accurate records of maintenance activities.
  • Support the operations team with equipment moves, furniture relocation, and other assigned tasks while maintaining safe work practices and completing all required hazard assessments.
  • Manage administrative responsibilities including daily P-card receipt submission, vehicle safety inspections, and timely escalation of issues to customers and management.
